How do you post a blog here. Blogs are ok if they don’t ramble about nothing.
Yes I would probably take advantage of it.
Provide? a vent place.
A way for others to hear thoughts and insights of others.
I blog at pastortaylor.blogspot.com. RSS feeds on your blog will be great. Wish you had them on the website too. How will the blog differ from the website? More reader content?
Personally blogs are both good and bad. I have been in Information Technology for tens years and have seen many invitations but I am not sure that I consider blogs as a “good” innovation. I am currently a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer of six years and last year began finishing my degree in Information Technology Assurance and Security. While in this degree field I have had to take Cyber Ethics classes.
My view on blogs is that yes it gives people a public forum to which they can share their views but at the same time the information they provide may not be confirmed and only opinions. If information is posted that is not true and not accurate this will only cause confusion among your readers. Your website has done a wonderful job in providing up-to-date confirmed information (if it isn’t confirmed you state so) to the public. I would hate to see rickystokesnews.com turn into a message board full of unconfirmed information.
Also to further confirm my views on blogs is the first person to respond to this request. They are looking to use it as a “vent place”. I would rather it be used as an accurate community information outlet as it has been used in the past.
But then again that is only my opinion.
Maybe this will take off like Wiregrass Live.
Question for ADMIN. How do I know my e-mail address will not be compromised?
Ricky,a blog will be good.Alot of us live in different communities, yet have friends and relitives in other communities..Lets get err up and running
Excellent idea, as there are things that don’t get reported and we can help add to the news! Put in a section for upcoming events where people can let others know.
